I need a recipe for chicken (baked) that doesn't require a lot of ingredients, and I don't like shake & bake?

Running very low on the usual ingredients, and I have to throw something together w/out going to the grocery store today...I need a recipe for chicken (baked) that doesn't require a lot of ingredients, and I don't like shake %26amp; bake?
sprinkle some seasonings on it (my dad likes lemon pepper, I perfer seasoning salt, pepper, garlic pwd, onion pwd, parsley) and bake it. If you have chicken boullion cubes, take a couple of them, boil them in a cup of water, dice up some onions and celery (optional) and put them in there. Then take a very small amount of milk and cornstarch, whisk it together, and add to the water. Whisk until thick. Pour it over your chicken. Hope this helps.I need a recipe for chicken (baked) that doesn't require a lot of ingredients, and I don't like shake %26amp; bake?
Season with whatever you have - I like poultry seasoning but use whatever you have and baste with honey when chicken is about 30 minutes from being done. Or a mixture of honey, soy sauce and a few drops of hot sauce.
This is what I do when the cupboards are bear.

Put the chicken in a baking dish with Italian dressing and bake, at 350 for an hour. I was amazed at how good it is. Happy cooking!
I typically whip out the rice, cream of mushroom and chicken breasts, mix all together with milk and water and bake!
Simplest and tasty chicken requires two things a bottle of Italian dressing and the chicken.

Marinate your chicken in a bottle of Italian dressing for about an hour put in the oven with the marinade over it and bake until done. simple and tasty.
This is a nice way to cook chicken, and it turns out much fancier than you would expect. Make fresh breadcrumbs in the food processor and place into a big bowl. Add any seasonings you would like, Italian season mix is nice. Or parsley flakes and garlic salt. (I don't know, 4 or 5 slices of bread?) Melt about 1/2 stick of butter and add as much mustard (maybe less) and combine. Rinse and dry chicken pieces (or just breast pieces) and dip into the butter mixture. Place in buttered casserole, top with remaining butter and crumbs. Bake until thoroughly done, but it does tend to dry out easily.
This chicken is delicious with a sweet and tangy glaze. You can always use just breast or thigh or leg pieces in place of a whole chicken. It depends on what you like! Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup prepared mustard

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon curry powder

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Place chicken pieces in a shallow baking pan, skin side up. Combine the melted butter or margarine, honey, mustard, salt and curry powder and pour the mixture over the chicken. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 1/4 hours (75 minutes), basting every 15 minutes with pan drippings, until the chicken is nicely browned and tender and the juices run clear.
My daughter's recipe. Rub chicken pieces with Adobo or other spice mix, place in baking pan prepared with non-stick spray, cover with cream of ';something'; soup and put in 350 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
I like to marinate my chicken in Italian dressing for about 30 min. before I bake, or just mix some oil, herbs/spices you like, a bit of vinegar or lemon juice and pour it over the chicken for the marinade. Cover the chicken in the pan and bake.

Here is another recipe:

Easy Oven Baked Chicken Recipe

theres several choices...I always preboil my chicken for juicier meat and to ensure its fully cooked to prevent salmonella....boil for apx 30 minutes....then put chicken into a baking dish and you can either just top with bbq sauce better results with this if chicken has skin...then broil it til its skin is crispy takes about 10 minutes tops...or you can put it into a baking dish and pour a can of cream soup over the chicken best without skin...by cream soups i mean cream of chicken cream of broccolli...cream of mushroom etc....you do not need to make the soup recipe to do this just pour the condensed can of soup over the chicken and make sure its all covered and bake at about 400 for 20 minutes....hope this has helped some...Rosie
Do you have flour, eggs and bread?

Turn the bread into breadcrumbs. If you have some parmesan cheese you can add that to them. Season with salt and pepper and any dried herbs you might have or like.

Put some flour on a plate. Break an egg or two into a shallow bowl and whisk. Put the breadcrumbs on another plate.

Dredge chicken breasts in the flour, coating them evenly on both sides and shaking of any excess. Dip them in the beaten egg [both sides] and then into the breadcrumbs [both sides], pressing the breadcrumb mixture into the chicken. Put the coated chicken on a baking sheet that has been drizzled with vegetable oil and bake for 7 minutes at 375, turn over and bake another 5 to 7 minutes or until the juices run clear.
When running low as you are, we were having chicken too. I had a couple of eggs left but no bread or bread crumbs so I took raisin bran and crush it up and coated the chicken with that. Actually any dry cereal will work just crush it up. Experiment, there are so many different things that you can use. Do you have ketchup and sugar, mix together and coat with that. When sweetened it comes out similar to that of BBQ chicken. Salad dressings also work well. Coat in onion soup mix. We have even coated ours with cheddar cheese soup and baked it that way. For a plain baked chicken just season with salt and pepper and bake. Oh my kids just reminded me that potato chips or pretzels crushed up really do make for something different and it tastes good when baked as a coating on your chicken.

Experiment and Enjoy!
One peson told me she uses instant mashed potatoes and when it browns on one side flip on the other. or you can use vinegar, onions, peppers, garlic and/ tomatoes, season the chicken with salt and pepper and let it cook
