Add onions (if using) and teriyaki sauce, toss until heated through.

This is good served over rice.

My best teriyaki sauce is made by boiling the following ingredients together in a saucepan until thickened.

1 cup soya sauce

1/2 cup mirin

1/2 cup cooking sake

3 tbsp sugar

1 whole clove of garlic

1 tbsp tonkatsu sauce (bull dog)

When thickened remove clove of garlic. Take the chicken thighs, (NOT BREAST) drizzle over some cooking sake, minced garlic, and lots of black pepper. Mix that around, and put 2 tbsp cornstarch in as well, mix that around so their all coated. Heat a pan with canola oil, a good amount, and fry the chicken in batches. When golden crispy, drain. Pour over the hot teriyaki sauce and coat them all evenly, you can either serve it immediately or show it to a charcoal bbq for a minute to add another dimension of flavour.

I hope you enjoy!
