I am looking for a simple chicken salad sandwich recipe. I dont want nuts or fruit in it. Just a normal recipe. Does anyone know of a really good one?Chicken salad sandwich recipe?

1/4 onion, minced

1 stalk celery, minced

1 tbsp. dill pickle relish or sweet pickle relish

2 tbsp. mayo or miracle whip

1/2 tsp. yellow mustard

1 tsp. water

In a small bowl mix the miracle whip, mustard, celery seed and water. In another bowl combine the chicken, onion, celery and relish. Add enough of the dressing to mix well. Here's one that's always a hit with my family. You can cook your own chicken or used canned and it's yummy!

I don't have exact amounts for the ingredients because I created this on my own and ';feel'; my way (taste might be more accurate! :).....) as I make it.

To the chopped, cooked chicken, add either REAL mayo or Smart Balance which tastes great and is healthier. (Miracle Whip doesn't taste as good.)

Add some dried dill weed...once again, this will be according to your taste.

You can add some chopped celelry if you wish, but not essential.

Add chopped cucumber and some thinly sliced radishes...very thinly sliced.

That's all there is to it. I guarantee that this is easy, but has very tasty results. It's also great stuffed into a nice, ripe tomato.

This has never failed me. I've served it many times, in luncheons, to friends, and picky relatives and everyone says it's delicious.

Hope you try it and agree...happy eating!
I think it is good with just mayonnaise and salt and pepper.
I use miracle whip,a lil' paprika, couple tablespoons pickle juice, garlic, and onion. It is delish!
Well... here's what I'd do. Cook some chicken breast however you choose to cook it (I'd probably bake it). Then cut it up in tiny pieces, or tear it apart in shreads. Grate some onion, finely chopped celery, crush some taragon up in your hand and throw that n (wonderful flavor for chicken, so don't be afraid to be a little generous), salt and pepper and mayonnaise and mix. Add the mayonnaise a little at a time so you don't risk putting too much. Serve on a nice quality bread or roll. Add lettuce, and spread some cranberry sauce (jellied or with berries) on the roll or bread and enjoy!
I like my chicken salad pretty classic...cooked, chopped chicken with some chopped celery and onion (for crunch and flavor), a little mayo to bring it all together, and some salt and pepper.

Easy, tasty, satisfying!

(I don't go for all that fruit and nut stuff in MY chicken salad, either!)
