Recipe w/ chicken & red wine w/ a whole chicken. I want to use my crockpot but either am flexible! Thanks?

DRUNKEN CHICKEN CACCIATORE

In large skillet, saute 2 large onions, thinly sliced, in some olive oil. When almost transparent, turn off heat.

Add 3 minced garlic cloves, 1/2 t. ea. salt and pepper, 2 t. oregano, 1 t. dried basil, 2 15-oz cans diced Italian style tomatoes, 1/2 - 3/4 c. red wine (I like burgundy), 1 8-oz can tomatoe sauce, 1 small can sliced mushrooms, and 1 bay leaf.

Put whole chicken (about 3 lb) or cut-up, in crock pot. Pour sauce over. Cook on high for 1 hour then low for about 6 hours or until chicken falling off the bone. Or on High for about 3- 4 hours.

Serve with spaghetti, crusty bread, and a salad.Recipe w/ chicken %26amp; red wine w/ a whole chicken. I want to use my crockpot but either am flexible! Thanks?
Toss two cups red wine, one cup of basmati rice, and a 12-ounce can of frozen OJ concentrate in the bottom of the crockpot. Wash that whole chicken *thoroughly*, then wash it again thoroughly once more, and plop it in the crockpot.

Set it on low, and leave for work. When you get home, it'll be delicious. It'll need some salt and pepper, but you can add that as you eat it.Recipe w/ chicken %26amp; red wine w/ a whole chicken. I want to use my crockpot but either am flexible! Thanks?
