the juice from 1 lemon is exactly that, squeeze the juice and that's what the recipe calls for. all the juice. The zest is something you get from the skin of a lemon. You take a cheese shredder or something that will grate the outer layer of the lemon, off. so thejuice is the juice and the zest is actually grated lemon skin.I have a recipe for chicken breast crusted with hazelnuts and lemon. zest is the lemon rind. take a cheese grater to the rind after you juice it. Juicing of course, means to get the juice out of it. You can use a fancy juicer, but i'd recommend just squeezing each half into a cup or a bowl. Also, you don't need to get all the zest off, just a good amount of it and it's easier to do if you juice it first.
get a very fine grater and grate the whole outside of the lemon on it. Only getting the yellow skin. Then cut it open and juice it like normal
Mmm-mmm, that sure sounds good...are we invited...
